Are companies sadistic?

Returning to office isn’t about better collaboration, or boomers communicating better in person, etc.

Companies are just sadistic. They enjoy seeing you suffer through traffic, polluting the planet, in your shitty car. Executives fly in while you drive in your beater car so you can scrap a few dollars together to FIRE one day - executives could FIRE since day 1.

They enjoy seeing you humiliate yourself in office having to sit at a desk while they get their own room / office.
