I'm a P50 at Adobe right now. My boss says I should get a promotion to P55 this August. TC in Utah is 390k on W2 last year. But stock is down a bit so TC this year might be closer to 300k. YOE 12.
I interviewed at Google for L5. Feedback was:
Strong hire (systems design)
Hire
Hire
Lean Hire
Lean Hire
After talking compensation and leveling with the recruiter, it sounds like we might try to interview again at L6. I would do two more interviews, one coding and one systems design.
I like Adobe quite a bit at the moment and don't think I would even want to switch to a L5 at Google.
I'm a little nervous about getting the two lean hire.
It seems silly not to try for the L6. I think I need to just to see what happens.

L6 is unlikely for a newly minted P55 because of scope but you can always try. Either way, go for it. Better/comparable pay, smarter colleagues will open up lot of opportunities in the future.
Now a days, talent is not dramatically better at Google but better on average compared to Adobe or Salesforce etc. There is plenty of good challenging work at Adobe but you would be bringing down your ceiling if you happen to be much better than most around you. This is fine at Director and above level but not all good at lower levels.
