Been at a small company in Atlanta for 15 years. We did $10 million in sales last year however, my salary with commission is only $82k where I feel I'm worth $100-$120k. We have no benefits and a terrible health plan. Looking to jump ship, but honestly I have no idea what I would do or where I would go. Just looking for some sound advice: stay or go?

Atlanta is a hot market, but I'd recommend getting / asking your firm for a formal compensation review by a 3rd party firm - or, outline what you'd like to be paid, and present a proposal on how you can add additional value to the organization to warrant it.

For the love of god get out of the agency world. I've been away from it for almost four years and your post reminded me just how dumb it is.

Look at Amazon's D1 group if you're game for Seattle. PM me if you like.

oftentimes creative directors at places like commercial real estate agencies or more corporate places like Capital group and CB Richard Ellis etc etc can be good places to look at if you want something stable

comparably is a good tool for seeing what you are worth. 15 years at a company is a long time and could be looked at as stagnant or incredibly loyal depending on how you look at it. creative director is usually an editorial or agency title so depending could translate to an art director or something similar at a larger company. It may be worth looking at those rolls as well especially if you just want to stay in the same line of work are not title heavy and just want some growth.
