who reviews background check at big tech? is it hiring manager, recruiter or people ops?
I left my last job in December but didn’t report it on the resume and haven’t brought it up in the interviews so far. I intend to be honest in the background check of course. Will this get flagged during background check? Who will I have to explain this to?
I think I might’ve made a genuine mistake of not reporting this earlier. I wasn’t sure how to approach this. Should I let someone know now (I think it’s late) or let it go through the background check first? My intention wasn’t to hide but I guess I didn’t want to do any explaning about the gap so didn’t mention it. Does this make me a liar or am I overthinking? I should’ve thought about it before, right?
I got the job and the company has initiated background check.
