Just had my FB virtual onsite this week and I'm pretty happy with my performance. The recruiter sent me an email afterwards saying she "saw positive feedback earlier". Only thing I'm worried about is the level of competition I'm playing against.
Will my chances of getting an offer be reduced due to the large number of applications coming in from other laid off engineers, or was I early enough to the party to not be too affected?

  • No, we don't stack rank candidates against each other. You either meet the bar or you don't.

No. If they want you they want you. If they want you but no space (which won't happen given how fb is hiring right now) they will still accept you but not extend offer immediately

Did the recruiter just reach out by themselves to tell you this? Or did you ask?

I had an VOS on Wed, and haven't heard anything.
