Hey folks - as title says, looking to clarify some facts around visa processes.
I have I-140 approved. My current H1-B expires in November though my lawyer said it will be put on renewal in May since they cannot renew visa which still has more than 6 months of validity.
Spouse is on H4 with same visa validity.
1. Does it makes sense to file for her H4-EAD now?
2. Does EAD validity depends on h4 visa validity?
3. What is the current processing time to get EAD ? And extension as well ?

You could. If it gets approved, it’ll be valid until November
