I received an offer for L60 from msft - 24Lakh Rupees base + 6 lakhs joining bonus + stocks worth 80k dollars (4 year vesting ). My base at Adobe is 17lakhs .
I came to know l60 is sde1 at Microsoft . I need to move out from Adobe due to personal reasons so i am most likely accepting this offer.
Will this downgrade from SDE2 at Adobe to l60 at Microsoft going to be harmful for my career ? As in will future employers see this downgrade as a negative ?l

Lower level => top of the lower-band => lower % increase in TC => Your TC doesn't change much until you get promo
Lower level => Shitty work with shitty scope (especially if it's SDE-1) => You just compromised learning for short-term benefit => Waste of time.
Higher level => low-end of the band => higher % increase in TC => You TC will grow much faster than above
Higher level => Better work with broader scope => Better learning
As for "a lower level ensures faster promotion" => It's better to be an SDE-2 with slower promo process to senior then be an SDE-1 with faster promo to SDE-2. Why waste my time?
