Hippo for Home insurance
Has anyone used it? It's all good when you pay monthly premium but the real test id when something goes wrong and it's their turn to pay. The premiums are not expensive compared to other quotes I have been getting + easy to understand. #houseinsurance

Aren’t they also fully regulated? They need to honor the contract
What would you do if they take more time or aren't as good as state farm let's say, take them to court, who has the time to fight the battle? Not me. Hence review and past performances matters. I like their straight forward pricing( also less expensive comparatively) and easy to understand info so seriously considering going with them..
That’s a good point. I too got a quote now and they are $100 cheaper.
I called them today for the same..I had a quote from their website and wanted to check on few details. Compared them against reputed company Nationwide which is $90 expensive annually. Nationwide is providing H05 insurance verses Hippo giving H03, H05 is better in terms of claims with less headache. Plus Hippo acquires local insurance providers which have some of the worst reviews, so not sure how easy it will be if you need to file a claim and try to get maximum money. I was provided quote where my insurance is covered by “Spinnaker Insurance” which is Hippo subsidiary. It has worst reviews. I am bidding Hippo goodbye 🙄

Do you have a agent in nationwide that I can share the contact? The quotes I have got from state farm are atleast $300 diff annually. By the way, ho3 and ho5 only differs in content( named vs open perils), they are same on the dwelling.
Hippo is definitely a great company to work with on claims. If the price is right give them a shot.
