Imagine you had to choose between these two offers:
Bloomberg
- Location: London
- Level: Senior Software Engineer
- TC: 140k GBP → 170k GBP (~200k EUR)
Databricks
- Location: Amsterdam
- Level: L4
- TC: ~190k EUR → ~200k EUR → ~210k EUR (95k EUR base, 8% holiday allowance, 12.5% target bonus, rest RSUs at 220 USD/share)
Which one would you choose and why? Databricks is probably the cooler company but what if you want good WLB and prefer London?
Also would appreciate opinions on the Databricks offer in general. The Bloomberg offer is heavily negotiated (before the Databricks offer was received and without any other good competing offers, believe it or not) and really good from what I can tell, but there are not many data points for Databricks in Amsterdam so wonder if there is more potential there. Total coincidence that both offers ended up being so close.
Current TC: ~80k EUR, 4 YoE
