At my old company, people in high profile positions would be making $200k+ and the rest of the company aspired to that level. That kind of salary always amazed me — seemed like executive level. I imagined they probably felt rly good about themselves and worked constantly to keep up their career trajectory. At the time I was making $75k.
Now a few years later I’m making $285k at FB. I’ve realized that $200k is not a lot of money. I can’t imagine the amount of work that goes into making it at a boomer company. Must really suck. Glad I switched to tech 😃

Newly promoted SPBs typically start around $130K. The band goes up pretty high because there are two additional levels to climb within SPB (3-2-1, where SPB1 sees the highest comp).
If you get selected for an executive role, then you move into EB (executive band). There's a wide range here because this includes senior EBs. So you may see $300K to several million.
