Why we have so many homeless people in SF? The city looks super ugly in many neighborhoods and it seems no one really cares

you guys are pretty Noble but wait till one moves in the lot next to your house and shits on your driveway and breaks bottles against your house at 3am. cops don't do shit have called hundreds of times. last time I had it went out there with my friends with bats and told them if they ever fucked with us we'd put them in the hospital. now they stay away from us and if they get drunk and come near I just yell I am getting my bat.

this is sad but it is what it has come down to. before all this they threatened my female roommate saying "I will rape you nigger bitch". that is what set us off with the bats. this city is pathetic. have to take things in your own hands here

I have had nothing to do with the raised housing cost and honestly i am a victim myself. But I still want to find a way to help with the situation, maybe a fundraiser? It's getting worse and worse

      here's
      I said:

      1. homeless folks >> lab animals in learning capacity and behavior
      2. lab animals can be taught to operate based on positive and negative stimuli
      3. Therefore from 1 and 2 it follows that this process will work for homeless folks too.

This was needed to dismiss @AFqm63's incorrect assertion that the homeless mental illness is inoperable. Again, this was needed to assert a logical conclusion. Don't generalize.

Don't be prudish and draw dramatic conclusions.

  • There are too many places with mild climate and lower rents. Their real problem is our societal values. We can't see hungry people, and they know that. That's why they don't work.

Stop giving them food. Give them jobs. If they don't take jobs and still want food, they are loafers who deserve to be hungry.

I took too much loan to study, and now barely save 100-200 dollars a month after paying for my rent, food and emi. We must earn what we consume.

  • because it's their way if life, their choice for most of them. majority like to score money for drugs and whatnot and don't want to get back on their feet. SF is one of the worst run cities in the US as well, so that contributes. they should be offered shelter and jobs, those not willing to accept shelter and jobs should be kicked the fuck out. no freebies. "give man a fish" clearly does not work

    • oh didn't know i suggested to leave anybody to die, i suppose making shit up helps you to win arguments on the internet. i actually suggested time limited help and a path to getting back on the feet, which has proven to work better than "unlimited freebies forever no strings attached" obviously because it makes humans motivated and unmotivated humans don't want any change. oh and i actually fucking lived in third world and lived broke unlike your privileged retarded ass cruising Africa to appear a big fucking philanthropist, you can burn now

@ranger451, I lived in North Africa for a year and there were many homeless with mental illness. You have absolutely no idea what the hell youre trying to talk about. Your experiences are probably bounded in the tourist experience (which is not reflective of the reality). In short, you're a fucking idiot. Don't try to insinuate that third world countries do a better job at taking care of their needy than we do.
