For those working in finance which sources do you usually get your news from? I use NYTimes, WSJ, Bloomberg, and BBC.

Going to plug a few British publications if I may. Those that you mentioned are all good online sources. I like The Economist as well, which offers a wide variety of news beyond just in the USA and beyond typical finance stuff. Their political leanings are kind of all over the place and have changed over the years, but are meant to represent a classically liberal point of view and defend free markets. It’s crazy how that viewpoint is under so much attack from both political sides in America today.

I also like the Financial Times. It’s expensive to subscribe to, but they have a free section called Alphaville I believe. Their paid content is top notch for sure, even including their “Life and Careers” and “How to Spend It” sections.

British sources are welcomed - got in the habit of reading the BBC and occasionally the Guardian from my brief stint at a British school - but the ones you mentioned are all good ones.

  • I use a couple ones but always start with Axios - it’s a super good news source that’s slightly left leaning but it summarizes news very concisely breaking it down into what happened, why it matters, and bigger picture. From there I look into other news such as TechCrunch, wsj, etc. axios is a great way to get a summary of all news fairly quickly though
