How short of a time at a prestigious company is too short to boost a resume?

I've only been at Google for like 7 months. An Amazon recruiter recently reached out, and I'm kind of interested, but I'm afraid that if I have less than a year at Google on my resume, it could hurt me in the long term vs. staying for longer.

What do you y'all think?

  • Looks bad. Looks like you underperformed and got out before getting fired. If you made the jump you better make Amazon work for a few years - but thatโ€™s not easy to do there.

Well peaches and cream, what is your total YOE? In the last 6 years, how many times have you jumped companies with a tenure of less than 2 years? If in the last 4 years you jumped more than 2 times then perhaps you should wait until 1.5 yrs at Google. Besides, why would you want to jump out of the most envious brand name of FANG to perhaps the least envious? (yeah you can give me shit about this statement bc I work at Intel)

Is the increased TC and job scope that much larger?
