I am confused with the Google interview process.
My recruiter told me that there will be 1 telephonic round followed by 4-6 onsite.

I had my 1st round few days back. I planned it all wrong as it was on the same day as of my second shot. I thought I will be ok. But during the interview I had some moments when my head was spinning and I was not able to give simple answers.

But the main issue with the interview was that I was expecting it to be ds/algo round. But the interviewer asked me to develop an Android app with him and write code.

Now the recruiter said that that the interviewer has recommended a second telephonic round.

What should I expect in this second telephonic?
Is it also against me to have another telephonic round?
I have no idea about interview style of Google.

  • Sometimes when they like you but still are not sure the interviewer can recommend a second round. I was asked to do a second phone interview as well.

I asked. I was told it will be technical. More like generic response. I also told my interviewer that I was expecting ds/algo. He said he was asked to take Android/Java/Kotlin round.

I am confused with these rounds as everywhere it says ds/algo rounds. But these look neither like ds/algo round nor a system design round but somewhere in-between.
