Have you ever left a company you joined in less than 6 months? If so, did you include the company on your resume when you were interviewing? If so, how did you explain your reasoning for leaving in such a short period? If not, how did you explain the gap of time on your resume?

Just like they say your biggest asset as a start-up founder is your willingness to take the risk, I think your biggest asset as an in-demand tech worker is your willingness to quit bad jobs immediately, regardless of short tenure, resume gaps or not having another job lined up.
If the next company is a serious place, they’ll want to know what they could do to make sure you don’t feel like leaving so quickly, and then either decide they can meet your needs or not.
If it’s not a serious place and instead they would expect you to stay a long time even if the job was a bait and switch, then if they reject you based on short tenures it’s just saving you time. A huge class of horrible shit jobs fall into this category, so in that sense it’s a good thing.
