Received offers from Pinterest L4 and Roblox IC2. What would you pick and why? What do you think about the outlook of the companies? Any insight on IC growth, WLB, work culture, leadership, etc is appreciated as well.

Pinterest offer:
Base: 180k
Stock (per year): 100k

Roblox offer:

post note: I also received an offer from Meta with a similar TC, but am leaning more towards Pinterest/Roblox because of work life balance and personal interest in the companies, but if anyone thinks Meta is way better than those 2, please let me know why.

      You're generally going to get bad advice on this topic online. When the market was bullish, everyone thought these companies were great. Now that it's bearish, suddenly everyone's an expert on economics and people think growth companies have no future.

      I joined Roblox recently and am bullish on it, but it will ofc be more risky than FAANG.

      people on blind generally advise you to join a company when their stock is super high and not to join when it is low.

      And then they vote for the jumping ship option when you complain your TC is crashing with the market.

  • Roblox, as I remember, gave out extra stock to compensate for the stock price crash.

    I took fb over Pinterest. Fb is better for e4 bc you can actually get to e5 in under 2 years. If it was l5 I might take Pinterest. I thought Roblox was popular on blind so surprised to see the poll, but stock prices explains it. This economy is not a good time to join these uncertain companies btw. Low prices doesn’t mean they will go back up.
