hey all, finished all interveiws at C3. unicorn company led by billionaire Tom Siebel. happy to answer some questions on my perceived culture but looking for an @c3 employee to help manage my expectations on equity. im a current exec at GE. Am hoping for in excess of 200k/yr equity comp but totally unsure what to expect. can some share a recent offer? thx
Looks like you didn't take the c3 job, what happened? Am interviewing there currently
Correct. I didn’t like the autocratic vibe. Felt very zero sum. Massive turnover in the commercial org at leadership. Felt like i wasn’t getting a realistic view of how many people turn over for stupid reasons. Also, didn’t get to see the product as part of the process. I stayed at GE
I’m awaiting an offer. Got the verbal
I've personally seen offers go out with 20,000 shares over 5y for new grads up to 300,000 shares over 5y for exec level. valuation is tricky. currently there's an offer to cash out at $5/share but I think only a minority are selling at that level.
Yes. This represents my offer (exec) with relative accuracy.
Will base pay be less because of equity in company? How does it work in these types of startups
I just assumed this company is a sham because they have a nonsense advertisement on NPR. Reminds me of IBM/Watson gibberish.
Over 100M rev, growing rapidly, landing new customers in new verticals. They raised 106M in 2018. Some concern is that a good chunk of that was Siebel’s own money so valuation may not be legit.
