IG Reels isn’t bad?

I know we like to talk shit about everything here, so this post is off brand. I use TikTok quite a bit (for research obviously), and found myself using Reels by accident the other day, and I actually enjoyed it. The videos were more footage and less monologues, and I was surprisingly impressed.

I can’t help but think that this is Google+ and Snap all over again.

Am I the only one that thinks Reels has a shot?

  • LOL. Ask Reels people and see if they're confident about the product. Same goes with FB dating etc.

  • 99% videos on Reels are reposted from tiktok. And Reels doesn't allow download videos which sucks

    Tiktok algorithm is undefeated. The platform is the future no matter what reels or shorts do. Trends originate in TikTok, no where else. The secret sauce isn’t the platform it’s the people. Tiktok has a better community and that is why it will win.

  • If the feature is just reposted content from another platform (TikTok), then it’s not a platform, just a mirror.

    Ditto for YouTube Shorts.
