Update:
WOOOOWW thanks all for the responses, the TC is that low cuz I’m in London.
My base is £46K which is around $60K
This year I’m vesting 9 stocks (turns out I got a terrible offer when I joined and learnt about this a year in)
In all cases I’ll probably DM some of you for referrals (if you offered and your company has an office in London that I haven’t interviewed for) and I really appreciate the advice and help great community.
I feel stuck, I’m suffering at amazon I have an incompetent manager and skip level manager. I’ve been stuck at SDE 1 for 3 and a half years now. My TC sucks and been trying to get promoted for the past 2 years with no outcome. I was never told I’m lacking any skills to be an SDE 2 on the contrary. However I’ve only submitted once due to manager having no time to write the doc, and the feedback I got was I need to be pushing back again as I stopped doing this for the past 6 months. That was the only reason the promotion got rejected. They broke me and now they’re complaining.
The Q4 deadline is in a couple of weeks and I did nothing about as I’m burnt out and demotivated.
However I can’t get another job, as I’m completely burnt out and can’t get myself to study. I got 4 rejections in 1 month and I feel helpless :/
Any advice?
TC: $85K

There were some interviewers who were arrogant and laughed when I couldn’t get a solution. All this just made me stronger and got the best out of me. Just believe in yourself. Learn from your mistakes and start giving more interviews. Only you can decide your destiny not your crappy manager.
20+ yoe at apple? And no calls???
Don’t include dates on your resume. Remove address, year of graduation and # of years you’ve done on the role. This helps tons. Once they call you, explain.
Try to focus on different aspects of your life in a day like few mins of exercise, cooking and eating good food, if you are creative spend an hour or so doing anything in that space. Your mind needs a break too don’t push it to do one and one thing only. Pandemic has aggravated negative emotions, distracting your mind with positive things goes a long way.
You got this OP!
