How does GoDaddy structure compensation and new hire offers?
I’m looking at early-mid career, software engineer in the Washington office.
What levels make sense for approx 5yrs exp?
How much yearly bonus is cash vs stock and what are the %?
After sign on stock vested 30/30/20/20, are there refreshers on top of yearly bonus? Do these follow the same vesting?
Thanks in Advance!
Any other relevant info you want to share is appreciated!

If you’re purely looking to maximize comp IMO don’t come to GoDaddy. It won’t happen here unless you’re a director or VP. You’ll be comfortable but not earning top dollar. If you’re looking for a chill work life balance, generous PTO, and inclusive culture, then by all means look into GoDaddy.
I’m currently an SDE 4 at GoDaddy with 4 years of experience (started as a 1 four years ago), in Kirkland. TC: 200k but I’m underpaid, mostly due to starting in Arizona and moving up here where my salary never really caught up (started at 70k in Arizona, after 3 promotions and 4 years and moving to Kirkland I’m at 133k as a 4, and I know if I’d just started full time in Kirkland I’d probably be at 160-180k), and that’s part of why I’m about to leave 😝
DM me if you want to talk more. Good luck!
