Recently accepted an offer. How did the first weeks / months look like for you? Did you only work on bug fixes and general maintenance? Lots of meetings? Did you build new features? How was your team?

* understand everyone wants to talk about pip here, but serious answers pls. Thanks #amazon #aws

Week one will be onboarding tasks like a lot of videos to teach you about amazon culture etc. You will also complete software bootcamp and set up your development environment.

Week two you will still have a lot of random onboarding tasks but you may also be asked to pick up a simple bug or two. The expectation here is low and they will give you a non priority low hanging fruit. It’s mostly just going to be a way to test your environment and development flow and work out kinks.

You’ll do that for a week or two more and then hopefully start to get more ramp up tasks.

The expectation is usually 3-6 months before fully productive

Depends on team but mostly coding monkey work. If you are lucky to have good l6 in your team you can learn things.
