I am expecting an offer from docker. Can anyone please suggest what can I expect in terms of stock options, base and bonus. Any insight docker folks. Having 13 years of experience
Wtf is the role OP? We aren't fucking mindreaders.13 years of experience in what? Docker? Pants?
Chill bro
Devops
Docker is done. Their tech is already a commodity, their commercial products are not good enough. They just became a small tech company and lost all the buzz they once had. They lost their chance to sell to Google/MS/IBM/VMWare too. I don't see any good exits in the horizon. DockerCon is now all about enterprise propaganda. It used to be about tech, open source, hacker culture.
Yes, gotta agree with this
They should've focused on increasing the value proposition of their product that created so much organic growth by creating lambda functionality, simplifying docker-compose, deployments, distributed services, gpu-resource allocation, storage management, going embedded, mobile, iot, etc. Instead they focused on enterprises that want application server/VM replacement for maintaining legacy infrastructure. They had liquid gold for a couple years but apparently the sales team ran the show. They should've done cloud hosting to pay the bills.
Hey OP, did you end up getting an offer? I’m interviewing with them and curious what their offers look like
offer was ok but the equity was a joke
Shoot that sucks. Was it for a senior Software engineer? Mind sharing ball park comp?
yes.. offer was around 180+20 joining bonus
