Maybe metrics are beaming and Facebook today is cashing in more money than ever, but anybody with a minimum vision should see Facebook is dead for the upcoming generations. It has become an old folks and 3rd world social network.
What are the plans internally? Focus on IG and bet heavily in ARVR?

They bought Instagram for $1 billion. I don't think that sort of deals are possible anymore. Any new social media that they try to acquire would cost them100+ billion from now on.
Although I can't seem to understand how FBs profit margin are increasing yoy. I follow pages on Facebook that have 85m subscribers and some of their posts get a miserly 40k likes. 8 or 9 years ago it used to get 1 million likes with half the amount of subs they have now
A lot of people in Africa and Asia use FB but their cost per click is very cheap and FB somehow breaking profit record every year. Magic๐ช
I find LinkedIn much more interesting as a social network these days because I get to see accurate job histories of everyone in my network. Whereas I find that my connections on Facebook don't bother updating their job histories or life info at all. In fact, many of my millennial Facebook connections who used to post daily now only post once in several months, which is a clear sign of a decline in platform engagement.
I don't think Oculus will save FB because VR will remain a niche for a long time due to its UX problem and low pixel density problem.
I know FB Dating is already a thing but I think it should be pivoted to an international dating site catering to people from developed countries who want to date people in developing countries, like a less sketchy "mail order bride" type dating site, for lack of a better description.
FB is going downhill fore sure, i've sold all of my FB stocks
Whatโs next Microsoft is a failure?
It's all about the content not the platform.
Just like why nobody can compete with Youtube.
