Anybody buy a Canada goose jacket? Looks overpriced to me. For those who have bought, was it worth it? Is it that much better than other jackets you own
What are other high quality winter jackets that provide same level of warmth ?
Canada Goose has all kinds of jackets with insulation, so IDK. Almost all insulated snowboarding or ski jackets are more than enough imo. Helly Hansen is nice.
Canada Goose is not high quality! The name is misleading as Canada GOOSE is not even goose down. It's duck down and isn't one of the best winter jackets. Patagonia and Arc'teryx are much better!
I’ve noticed something lately ... almost all Chinese men in my office wear Canada Goose and that too mostly Navy Blue color 🤯
Where do you live?
Where do you live? If Cali, canada goose is not worth. If you are in Northeast or in Canada, its pretty light and warm. Lower end brands offer same warmth, but rarely same weight. Most of them are heavy
The question is, when you live in the northeast or Canada, if you need the parka shell part. Usually it’s either really cold or wet, rarely both. So a down jacket without that “expedition” shell is fine. It does help with the wind though.
At least they are made in Canada so should lost way longer
Buy whatever is appropriate for your climate. The north face tri climates are pretty solid
Bought a moose knuckles jacket recently and am happy with it.
It feels like every person in NYC wears Canada goose even though it's really not cold enough. The cheaper alternative I found is Triple FAT Goose which comes in 40% cheaper or so with similar amounts of down insulation.
First world problems.
Like any street wear fashion, it's value is based on hype, thanks to Drake. Stone Island too. There are many brand that's cheaper and equal in quality . You don't buy it for the quality itself, you buy it to flex.
Like wearing that Tesla/Google badge while buying groceries on a Sunday afternoon
I’m not sure this is true, at least for the down parkas. There are competitions but at similar prices.
