have a software engineer interview scheduled with captial one in Plano, TX. Not sure what to expect from the case interview. Has anyone here gone thru that?
And Plano is a nice office campus
Are you at capital one?
Nope but I've been there for events/conferences.
No such thing as PIP like Amazon and a good wlb too, obviously.
Wrong info. C1 has PIPs, sometimes forced by stacked rankings
Unless you are a moron, there are no PIPs at C1.
I think someone’s posted it on Glassdoor or reddit
Do you know if its more in line with consulting case interviews?
For a software engineer role? I highly doubt it. I don’t know if different teams will ask different questions though but my SE case interviewer asked about my thoughts on a merger and then gave me some code to interpret. They want to see how well you can communicate your thoughts, but probably not to the extent of a finance consultant.
Recruited should give you a link to a video example of a case interview. You’ll solve a business problem. What is of greatest interest is your thought process.
I work in Plano. I didn't go through the SE case, but I can answer questions about the culture.
How was your technical interview? Any design questions?
Case are about how you think. Keep thinking and digging deep and wide to cover all aspects. The code itself is trivial. Go through methodically and think out loud. As long as you do reasonably well and do well in the job fit (tech) interviews you should do fine. Don't mess up the BI because that measure your culture fit.
I have interviewed for capital one TDP for the plano office.
Oh hey what ever happened to your amazon application from the other day?
I applied thru referral yesterday haven’t heard anything yet
