He is blamed for far more than he is responsible for. In reality he is a top tech CEO. Few have steered their ships this deep into the endzone.
And now, when Facebook is already a profitable growing company. He takes on new risk and steers the ship towards something completely different. Something that he believes in. Whether or not you agree with the metaverse, it's at least admirable to take such a dramatic and intentional move.
Also it's often forgotten that Facebook/Meta have been large contributors to open source software.
The whiners who say Facebook presents a "moral hazard" haven't realized they're still being propagandized by their own government.
