How many of you trade options and how much do you make from it?

I’ll start: I usually make about $2-2.5k/month.

TC: low enough that I have to rely on options income.

Note: Don’t want this to be a 🍆 measuring contest, just trying to learn if you’ll have tips/tutorials to improve.

Trading options is akin to gambling. No one here has been trading options regularly for more than 10 years. Otherwise they would be a billionaire and not on blind.

Anyone can make money in a bull market.
Don’t confuse your gains for brains.

Calm your t*ts, I’m just learning and never said I have the best of brains for trading. And I think your analogy to gambling is correct but the claim that trading more than 10years makes one a billionaire is totally wrong.

Well, as WSB states, stonks only go up.

In all seriousness, I started learning about the Greeks and starting with cash that I am ready to loose (could have been up more if I didn’t do stupid trades early on or selling early). You can try doing your own DD. Also using tools like options profit calculator can be helpful.

Selling options > buying in long term. But dont di naked puts or calls. Ofcourse black swan events can wipe you out but never do naked options. Selling is less attractive strategy but if you are looking for gratification then sooner or later losses will Mount up.

I do options on companies I like and hold options 6 months out and sometimes leaps. Have lost quite a bit on short term options. Good luck.
