How long is the commute from Dublin /Pleasanton area to Mountain View Google Office daily Are there shuttle ?
2 hours on the return leg. 1.5 in the morning.
Horrible, now imagine San Ramon
Most people drive to the Pleasanton park and ride. There’s no parking at the Dublin station pickup unless you’re lucky enough to have a pass or get there really early. But obviously it depends on when you leave. If you take the late morning bus and the late evening bus, it’s much shorter. There’s a crap ton of Google employees out here. Lots of people do this commute. It’s manageable once you get used to it.
Thanks guys !
I used to commute from Martinez taking shuttle from Danville. fucking hell. 3-4 hours a day on commute. There is a shuttle to Modesto. Can't imagine how bad it is. 5-6 hours a day I guess
Why in the world can't the Masters of the universe i.e Google, FB, Apple etc open up an office in East Bay and give the poor saps a break from the mind numbing commute.
I think that’s the long term plan along with the Diridon station campus. They plan on opening up offices up and down the bart and Caltrain corridors. But this is very long term. Can’t happen quick enough.
Cant most google employees work from the sf office? Your bart commute might be better than shuttle ride?

28 terrorist worshipping idiots just got themselves fired and I've never been prouder to work at Google.
My manager used to do this. There are shuttles, takes about an hour in traffic I think.
