I am considering turning down my amazon aws offer. take home is 12k less than my servicenow offer and its in seattle (not my favorite city) how much of an impact name of amazon can have on my career growth? #career #amazon #aws #joboffer
No one gives a shit about name recognition except dumb recruiters working at agencies for jobs you don’t want People care about scale problems or how much stuff you built
How will they hear about the scale problems you've solved if you can't get the initial phone interview because the place you're at doesn't have name recognize / prestige?
Service now has large scale problems what are you talking about. 90% of the time you solve scale problems via some managed service if your lazy and like spending money. Its not that hard. Most companies are smaller than aws and service now. Scale problems arent a thing for 99% of the company's.
Fuck amazon, why would you want to work for them? They stack rank and have mandatory attrition. 50% attrition with in 1st year. Service now is just as good a name
Well, you work there. Qq: How is your Glassdoor so high then with almost everyone there recommending amazon to friends?
Lmao your trusting Glassdoor? Companies pay HR to pump those ratings All rating apps are fake news
Ask some recruiters working at tech companies, if you know any.
Amazon will have no impact on your career growth, it's too common to work there now
