is Credit Karma likely to go IPO soon? How is thw work culture there? I am interviewing for a role there...
Believe me - we have been asking the same question to ourselves for years.
Wanna help a random girl out? Credit Karma referral would be 👌right now.
Hows the work culture?
Although work culture would depend team to team, but I have one of the best managers ever! The teams I’ve interacted with also have good leaders, so you will above average experience with culture here!
Culture: Good WLB: Great Base Pay: Average TC: Excellent (counting private shares) IPO could be 5 months or 5 years away. You should come in understanding that’s a risk.
They should have IPO'd years back.
Is work life balance good even for folks in Product Management?
Not unless the products kicking ass
Heard their valuation was last done when their revenue was around $500M whereas now their revenue is close to $1Bn??
All true, and the revenue run rate is actually higher than $1B today... (FWIW Doesn’t mean the valuation is higher)
True but likely to go up if the revenue doubled in a yr
Wondering if they give good equity?
What position / level.

Work life is okay depending on team, comp is okay, ipo is probably never, and there has been a cutback on transparency.
My estimate for their IPO: 3-5 years (if the markets keep going strong or average & above) The work culture really depends on the team but I simply loved it. I have worked at a multitude of companies before from startups to FAANG & the work culture at CK is straight up awesome; for the teams I worked on. They don’t neg much & the eng interviews imo are similar in difficulty to the hot 5/10 in tech so their offer might seem bland. They justify by saying it’s “standardized pay” but if you’re confident you are good, it’s a talent war/auction and there is no standardization for that imo. But focus on clearing the interviews, it’s a pretty good company with a very mission focussed work approach in a sphere where the majority of companies have turned toxic. 🙂
