does Cruise give any interview feedback? i thought I did well on the interview, but did not get an offer. Recruiter did not mention any waiting period to reapply.
Did you get a nice bite in the neck during your "Interview with the Vampire" (a.k.a.Tom Cruise)
You’re only second person making this retartеd joke on this thread so congrats
No humor at Cruise. Where do you think you are, mofo? I , for one, embrace Uber's clownish culture.
Yeah, I think generally you won't get much feedback from interviews, but if you ask the recruiter they can probably help explain. Don't get too discouraged, sometimes candidates aren't hired for a particular team because of timing and what the team needs at that time. Also the standards can be very high. Ask the recruiter if you can apply for another team that might be a better fit, they'll have the right context.
Be happy you were rejected. You don't have the pain of working for one of the worst culture companies
Please help us making cruise a better place

To be honest I feel cruise tends to not give good feedback. Even as an employee I have trouble getting feedback for rejected referrals. Altogether recruiting seems a bit understaffed or incapable, interviewers themselves give actually quite detailed feedback on the internal system, but I guess recruiters have no incentive to share it... As for the reapply. Try to reapply for a different team, the hiring is somewhat decentralized and the specific team and hiring manager has the most say. Just because you didn't make it in this team doesn't mean another one wouldn't like you.
Thanks. If the recruiter says the feedback was good enough, I’ll ask if I can interview for other teams.
Companies don’t give feedback for fear of liability not a Cruise isolated issue more systemic with the industry. Have had multiple friends provide horror stories.
Yeah, its a liability thing. I wonder what planet you all are from that its such brand new information
Well we get it, but even then every company and recruiter interprets differently the boundaries on what is legally safe and what not but unfortunately many companies / recruiters error on the extreme side of caution because they don't know shit about the basics of the law. I've definitely also had better/good experiences in terms of feedback. I've gotten for example really detailed and actionable feedback from Twitter, with specifics about each interview round. I don't think Twitter would do this if this was a generally unsafe practice.
