I saw the ads of this https://liveatsfshipyard.com/landing/
New 1 berdrooms @600k near Lyft office. Where is the trick? I think that, other than house insurance and property tax, there might be other hidden fees for the property and the condo.
Can anyone who lived in places like that share what is the real cost?

Landing - Live at SF Shipyard

Oh and there's all the radioactive stuff lying around: https://www.sfchronicle.com/bayarea/article/Radioactive-object-found-near-homes-at-Hunters-13228476.php
Shipyard itself is pretty nice. But not gated from hunters point. No shops to walk to for now.
But big risk big return.
You might get hit by HOA bill if the building has problem when passed warranty. For example, your neighbor has leak and the building needs to fix it, it will be shared across the HOA.
On the contrary, insurance is usually cheaper because you don’t need to cover the exterior. Some might even not require you to get one. Then you just need to get something like a renter insurance.
Mortgage is usually higher. Don’t know why.
Restrictions on things like short term rental
Maybe things have gotten better and there’s some real opportunity there though.
