Hello fellow Blinders,
I'm looking for some advice on choosing offers. I've been interviewing lately and landed 4 offers, narrowing down to Indeed and Google.
I've just 4yoe, and to my surprise Indeed gave out an L3 Offer (Staff-Level)
- Sign-on: 100k Cash
- Cash: 150k base with 10% target
- RSU: 200k over 4 years (refresher per year at 50% of the initial grant)
The offer looks pretty decent with the sign-on and up-a-level. I went in with an expectation to land an L2-2 at most but got a level higher, thanks to one of the best interview performances I've given.
Now back to Google -- Google being Google is taking its sweet time to get back to me with the exact numbers. They should be able to match (not sure for sign-on), but the level is most likely just L4.
It's a decent bump for me either way. For Google, it has better projects and better brand prestige, but I feel like that's about it. I'm tempted to go with the Indeed offer.
How would you choose level vs brand, given all else equal? Does Google on your resume really help open doors better?

Google came back to me with a massive lowball (quoting interview performances a lot), I told them politely where they can shove this offer, and went on with Indeed. Problem solved!
Thanks for all the advice and votes
