Robinhood S-1, outstanding shares

Jul 3, 2021 25 Comments

Can anyone read the s-1 and tell how many outstanding shares RH has? Or what to divide market cap by to estimate a per share price? Page 23 shows 230 million to calculate earnings per share, but that can’t be right. That would put the share price at $174 at a $40B valuation, which is way over secondary market implied numbers.

Last 409a valuation is 41.41 for 11.7B, so with privileged shares and warrant seems to be right.

Last I saw, the share price on secondary market is $82: https://ftx.com/trade/HOOD/USD, so 20B?

I was looking for that info as well. Seems like it is 230M. Don't see it explicitly listed anywhere.
The share price cannot be calculated directly from earnings. Lots of other factors go into it. I would put fair value per share at 10. It's probably going to 100 after listing or to 10 based on some angry traders after gme, who know!

  • For employees and founders, does market cap even matter ? I keep thinking that only share price is important. Like we have X shares being granted every quarter and for the founders they get bonuses vested based off share price as well.
Also confusing to me is why would a company ever float a large amount of shares ?
