Is it harder to get into Google,MSFT, Facebook in INDIA compared to other countries (USA,UK, GERMANY)?
Note: i am a third year undergraduate cs student in tier 3 college.
Asking this question because ...
1) I noticed that people from my college and other colleges (in india) who didn't even get good internships or jobs(or got jobs in tier 3 companies), after completing master in USA, they got job offers from Google, Facebook, Microsoft, Amazon.
So, how suddenly they got these good offers if they were getting shitt jobs before.
2) I have seen people (who are not in india) posting on BLIND(sometimes on LeetCode too)that how they got google offers after completing 100-150 LC.
( I have seen maximum 500-600 LC)
But in INDIA, people who got google offers right after college or after 1,2 years of experience are Master in codeforces, or they have done 1500-2000 problems on different sites(like hackerrank, codeforces, codechef, hackerearth).
MEANS they are master in competitive programming.
And 1500-2000 problems are far more than 150-300 LC(which often people post on blind)
Is it because there is too much competition in india.
So, if i want to get into google, should i apply for google Munich, Zurich, London instead of google india??

Have attended G before. Post that, I have received multiple calls from G in last two years. But I prefer applying to other locations for G than India.
YOE - 6.
That's what I did, took me 5yrs.
Did you apply for Facebook India or somewhere else??
And are you working in India (i am feeling that you might be at Facebook London, Singapore)
If else where, than how did you apply there?
Please reply it will be really helpful!!ππ»
I bet competition is definitely a factor in India. Not just for G but for most companies. Doesn't hurt to apply to the locations you've mentioned. If you're from a tier 3 college like you say then getting a call from G can also be an issue considering the amount of applications they receive from tier 1 and 2.
But you thought right, google (or any company) don't have events in India
Moreover I would suggest that try not to optimize for a particular company but rather what you want to work on.
