Visa type

Come across this VC firm claiming they take care visas for founders. Wondering how are they handling, typically founders are not allowed to sponsor work visas from their own companies at least there are several rules. Do these guys(vc firm) file visa on-behalf of their VC firm and have the founders companies as some sorts of clients to them?

  • Wtf do you mean "not allowed to sponsor work visas from their own companies". You'll likely need an american cofounder for some paperwork, but then H1B, EB2/3, O-1 are very much open to you so long as you satisfy their requirements. VC probably hires some law firm specializing in helping your case satisfy them.

Biden also recently reinstated entrepreneurship parole, exactly for startup founders case

They have a lot of information on their website and blog on how they operate. If you are a potential founder they will also do a discovery call if you submit the form on their site.

They have top notch immigration lawyers as partners in the firm and have helped a lot of immigrant founders start companies.

From what I saw with other founders, O1 —>EB1 is the most common path. There are also other options that involve H1B but every case is unique. You don’t need an American co founder but that might open up other options if you have one.

They don’t do all the shady deals like what Amazon/VCsmart says. They invest through a SAFE which converts if and when you raise a priced seed round.

Such early stage VC might invest less than 1 M and took more than 50%, then sponsor H1; or 20% sponsor Eb6, or O1. And later on to Eb1 petition
