- UXR often requires a Master's and ideally a Ph.D. = comp is higher
- Good Researchers with experience are much harder to find than Designers
- in my experience, a Senior+ Researcher gets more than a UXD
If you just say you're a researcher because you have done some user tests etc., we're not talking about the same thing.
Could be that many places hire junior researchers who do only usability testing in a scrum team. I’ve seen a lot of these positions.
