my virtual onsite interview is coming soon, and I would like to know what is the best alternative of the whiteboard, I used Miro, but I am not satisfied, it takes a lot of time to draw ideas and 45min is very short, any advices ?
many thanks

Get your own whiteboard. Borrow or buy. Peel and stick are great too. I would propose this to the recruiter when scheduling the interview. Practice with the camera pointed to the whiteboard, laptop angle etc.

I used Google Drawings for system design for a recent interview. Worked well for me. Practice ahead of time to get familiar with the stencils.

    • what was the thought-process you chose to do virtual onsite as opposed to waiting for in-person, as in virtual interviewers and hiring committee may not be as inclined/energetic during interactions which can affect the dynamic and overall result of the process? isn't there a 1 year cooldown if for whatever reason one doesn't get offer?

    • did you get offer? level?

did you use google drawing on regular laptop using mouse, or through some touch-screen stylus system?

  • @op which company? why are you considering to apply now as virtual on-site process overall may have more chance of rejection, from what i could tell?

i'm in a similar position. had onsite invite at FAANG for the last 5 months but due to virtual onsite i haven't moved forward.

for whiteboarding, i'm considering using galaxy s6 lite where one could draw using a stylus pen.
