Share or no share ? What are the legal grey areas with sharing. Want to be transparent but also don’t want to give the image that I am willing to send around my offer letter to whoever asks. Competing offer comp is much much higher than the other offer

That being said, 99% of the reason I ask the question is so I can do my best to beat that competing offer. I know it may not always feel that way, but your recruiter is truly on your side and wants to partner with you to make the best offer possible.
Honestly though, I don’t care a whole lot about the actual offer letter. Sure, I’d love to see it, but I really just care about the numbers. If you give the recruiter the numbers and they’re still asking for the offer letter, I’m somewhat confident that they’re continuing to ask for it to use as justification with the internal compensation teams to increase your offer.
