Hello Blind community! I'm a senior graduating from university and got offers for Microsoft and Google. I interned at Microsoft and really liked the team, work/product, and chill WLB. However, Google's refreshers/rewards, promo cycle, growth and brand make it pretty convincing as well. Here are the offers:

Signing bonus: 50k (25k first year, 25k second)
Yearly Target Bonus: $11.25k (10% of base)
Relocation: 5.5k
TC: $184k first year

Company: Google
Title: SWE
Location: Seattle/Kirkland, WA
Base: $118k
Stock: $90k/4 years (33%/33%/22%/12%)
Signing Bonus: $10k
Yearly Target Bonus: $17.7k(15% of base)

  • Go to Google for all of the reasons you mentioned (refreshers, rewards, growth, etc). You’ll also probably find all of the pros you listed for Microsoft at Google. Also there is always more time to negotiate, just ask the recruiter to extend the deadline.

Hi, what were your Google interviews like?

And personally, as a new grad, I would factor in location as well since TC and Prestige is roughly the same (G probably has more prestige still)

To prepare I did Top 75 leetcode blind and CTCI. I’d also look at Google Tagged questions on leetcode but I didn’t end up shelling out the money for that.

Got it, very helpful! Btw, if you don’t wanna shell out the money for leetcode, you can try out top questions for big name companies on binarysearch.com!
