I found a job that looks awesome at X, The Moonshot Factory, and I’m a great fit. Been eyeing the company for so long and really want to apply. It says it’s in Mountain View but I can’t relocate. Should I not even bother or should I apply and see if the fit is good / there will be any exceptions?
That’s google’s secret division. Apply anyway but I hear most people are in the office.
Wife works there - they are requiring employees to work in office so don’t bother if you can’t imo
I don't think they do remote. You need to be in the office.
Got it, sounds like I shouldn’t waste their time. So bummed out that Google is taking a firm stance on in person, really limits folks like me outside of their hub areas. Thx for the input folks
What do they even do there? Make potato cannons?
Waymo started as an X startup.
Computational photography started there I think
You might not even get an interview lol
Yes this is the most likely option I suppose haha 🥹
