Ok so im 30 yrs old living in bay area. I work as a nutritionist making 100k per year no 401k matching at a very small start up. Im at a crossroads where I either stay in nutrition and go back to get my masters (costs 80k and 2 yrs) to maybe open my own private practice OR accept an SDR position at confluent and launch a sales career (0 Debt, offering 90 k OTE rsu package, good medical and dental)

I know im a little late in the tech game. Would love some insights.

If you have the capital to open a practice and understand what it takes to succeed go for it.

If not then the tech industry does give you a cash boost if you ever decide to leave and open your own practice.

Youโ€™re not late actually. And definitely not too late to be experimenting. Iโ€™d take the SDR role and see how it is.

Tech industry definitely is a good life with a lot of benefits as you said.

Open your own practice. I think it's better to experiment while you're young.

So you find the tech industry interesting? Would you like your new role? No doubt...lots of money in tech but if you donโ€™t like it, is it worth it?
