    I like to live in West LA around Beverly hills and West Hollywood, do you think I could find a 1 bed apartment in a nice building below 3k/month and is it going to be soul crushing to commute to DTLA?

    If you want a new high rise, you‘ll be in DTLA. Neighborhood’s improved a lot but the further you go towards skid row, the sketchier it is. Lots of good rates and lease incentives right now.
