I enjoy writing code and spend a lot of my spare time reading software books, open source, and watching lectures by choice. I easily get bored (one of the reasons I chose this profession) and like to be constantly learning new things (i.e once a project is over if I do not find a new one that is interesting or something I want to learn I will likely try to switch teams/companies)
My priorities at this point (in order) in my career are:
- Technical Growth/Challenging work
- Impact
- People (getting along with them, and being challenged by them)
- TC/Perks
Domain(s) I am interested in:
- Databases/Data Systems (read Designing Data Intensive Systems by Kleppmann and really enjoyed it -- highly recommend his talks)
- Distributed Systems
Which of these choices would be best for my personality type / interests (also why if you have time :) )
Thank you all ahead! (please don't troll)
