I started at Bloomberg recently, I see that it is a place to retire not a place to work for when you are young.(some may disagree, but it is true atleast for my team) To any Software Engineer out there specifically Ex-Bloombergers who have switched to Google, my ultimate dream is to work for google one day. do you have any advice on how to prepare & what do you think helped you get the job at Google? do you regret leaving Bloomberg's WLB? #google #bloomberg
DM for referral Prepare LC Interview You don't need to prepare anything special for it I feel.
If it's true for your team it's not difficult to internal transfer

What makes you think Google isn't a retirement home too?
The data doesn't suggest it, and if it is a retirement home, I am more than happy. As I said my ultimate dream is to work there
My impression is the opposite. Google is cushy, and filled with people coasting while doing non-impactful work. It has a good rep for its perks (much reduced during wfh), stability, and culture. The same thing could be said about IBM and HP at one point but look at them now. My point isn't to shatter your dream (ok, maybe it is). My point is that don't run away from Bloomberg for reasons that won't be better at Google. Go to a smaller, fast growing, more hungry company if things are too slow at Bloomberg.
