Amazon might have more teams with poor WLB than some other companies but it's a great great place to learn as a new grad.
Agree it's intense sometimes but I've learnt and grown so much as an SDE in just 6 months that I like to think it's a great place especially for a new grad when you don't have other responsibilities.
Career progression is generally faster than other FAANG as well with most new grads getting SDE2 in less than 2 years.
I have seen a lot of teams and it seems that most of good work is already done and now hiring is just to keep them running and just add few things here and there. Doing operational things is not development work and you're not learning actual work.
