What’s the difference between blue sky whiteboard and whiteboard?

I’m going to have 2 whiteboard exercises next week, one company highlighted that we will have a blue sky style whiteboard, not sure what that means specifically.

Can anyone provide some tips for how to be well-prepared for the challenges? If the prompt is too general, like redesign a microwave or something, should I redesign the interface for the microwave only or I could think about mobile interfaces to improve the experience of using the microwave?

Thanks a lot.#design #interviews #ui/ux

From my experience they want to see how creative you can be without any constraints on time, money, tech etc. so if you could design whatever what would it be for said experience. Often times wanting to see how creative you can get. Also noting how you may think outside of tech like how a user may use your product and interact with external items.

Thanks. It sounds like the interviewer will care more about the idea outcomes. I am afraid that my head turned to be blank at the moment under the pressure.

I’d say find other people who have interviewed there and see what go to questions they have for these

I would ask what it means to them. They could have some weird explanation or expectations that they’re not telling you.

I did asked, but the recruiter looks like not familiar about the whiteboard.
