FB NY vs Google NY vs Uber NY vs Bytedance (MTV)
Hey guys
First post on blind. I have SWE2 offers from FB, Google, Uber in NYC. Wondering which one will be best for me.
I'm optimizing for the following in this order:
1. reasonable WLB (<40 hrs/week) + Growth + Interesting Work
2. Social life
3. Compensation
The offers are:
Google (L4)
Base: 180K
15% annual bonus
Equity: 240K (33, 33, 22, 12)
Sign-on: 30K
Y1: 289.2 (base + equity + sign-on)
Facebook (E4)
Base: 170K
10% annual
Equity: 350K (25,25,25,25)
Sign-on: 50K
Y1: 307.5
Uber (SWE2)
Base: 156K
23K-46k (annual)
Equity: 350K (35,30,20,15)
Sign-on: 30K
Y1: 308.5
Bytedance (Negotiated for higher base)
Base: ~225K
25% annual
RSU: ~200K (15, 25, 25, 35)
Sign-On: 50K
Y1: 305
TC: meh
YOE: < 3
Update:
1. Also, if y'all can offer any tips to negotiate up, that'd be great!
2. Can anyone from google tell me if I can negotiate more (even though they said it's final)?
Update 2:
I don't care much for the poll. Would love to hear your reasoning for the choice instead!

I would not join Google again. It's super slow and everything is very political.
ByteDance has questionable culture.
Uber is having a massive attrition and the morale is super low. Not going to change any time soon.
Don’t buy too much from the ex-Uber guy, they left during the beginning of the pandemic when we are at our worst time. Things have become much better now and we have a lot of new growth point. As I said, if you really want growth potential, you shouldn’t join a place which is already very high.
I’m kinda surprised you’re still considering Google. 240k is a pittance of a grant for L4. Go to FB where you’re getting paid well, will get paid better over time, and will generally level up a lot faster. It’s a no brainer for me. Also you can negotiate that FB grant to 400k and signing bonus to 100k, if you haven’t tried to already.
I'd say go to fb but try and get a 100k sign on if they still do that
I think the other companies have a high bar and a new job is always some amount of work.
At FB you'd need to get to 5 which isn't hard but you'll need to put in some hours. 50 or less
