Hey y’all. I have an interview with MathWorks next week. For those who had the same trajectory, I am open to suggestions/advice etc. There will be 3 round during the virtual on-site interview. 2 hours technical, 1 hour hr and 1 hour manager. I submitted my data scientist resume to them. What kind of questions/coding challenges should I expect? At what level can they ask OOP, system design question? Thanks #interview #mathworks #coding #mathworksinterview
Do not go to EDG role. It is all support work and will not help you in your career. Also, even though they say transfer is very easy, it is not. You are probably good staying at smaller company with developer role
If you have specific areas of interest, then you are opening yourself up to getting stuck in EDG as they may not have room in the teams that you want to join. EDG also feels like a dead-end job because you're doing technical support work where you don't grow at all. The only growth you can have in EDG is by being proactive and choosing to do projects with teams where you learn things or apply your knowledge. But If it doesn't end in a transfer out of EDG its mostly not worth it. Also mathworks pay is 🚮
Please don't join edg, it's a scam
Do leetcode and try for faang. Trust me edg is not worth it.
Don't come here. You'll be stuck in doing support work while in EDG.
I believe EDG is a temporary position. They relocate you after some work in EDG. Isn’t that correct?
Yes. They transition into other roles. But average tenure in EDG is about 1 year. I've seen couple of people who stayed more than 2 years.
