Amazon application with a new email

Apr 25, 2020 33 Comments

Hi all,
Has anyone changed their email and started applying with a new one at Amazon and finally got the offer? Not with the intention to avoid the cooling off period but just for a fresh start, too many applications with the last email.
Is there anything ethically wrong with it?

I applied for Senior DS, got rejected. Created a new account with a different email, applied to DS in another team, within 3 days, and finally got the offer (And I lied that I didn't interview in the past 6 months)

All the people commenting here that there's this Amazon AI don't know sh*t.

You have to start by changing your name. If you are an immigrant, I would recommend going back to your home country, stay there for a few years and change your name there. Apply for a fresh visa with the new identity. That way, when you come back here you can get a new SSN, a real fresh start. Obviously, new numbers, new passport, new driving license, new everything.
Also, do not forget that the recruiter might have scouted you after receiving your email and come across your LinkedIn profile picture. I heard plastic surgeries are pretty cheap nowadays so getting a new face could help with that problem. Could also boost your confidence for the difficult interview process. If you have hair, getting rid of them or if you don't then getting some transplant is also recommended but not mandatory. Try a few of these things, they could really increase your chances.

This is where Amazon AI comes in. It will pick out odd apples. HR systems use it.

But what I'm saying is creating 75 accounts on the same IP address and even using 1 or 2 payment methods raised 0 red flags?

It used to work, not anymore. In fact, their system seems to be overcompensating, my application a while ago got grouped with someone else’s....
